After School Program Opens @ Old Bergen Church

We are excited to announce the opening of a new After School Program at Old Bergen Church. This project-based enrichment program is open to all children grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. The program will run from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM Mondays through Fridays (in conjunction with the JCPS calendar). We are excited to welcome Sherima Absolam as Coordinator and Site Director. The program also has two certified teachers and two college interns from Saint Peter’s University.
The program offers assistance with homework and tutoring, recreation and enrichment activities from art, music and cooking to computer lab time and science experiments. From time to time the students will participate in programs at the nearby Miller Branch Public Library and go on field trips in the area. This small (about thirty students) quality program is offered for $150/month. Financial aid is available. The program is not an officially District Sponsored Program, but is in community partnership with PS 11 and PS 17.
